Eiman Al-Mutairi

Advisor to Minister of Commerce and Investment, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Dr. Al-Mutairi has a unique and extensive background in the field of science & healthcare, management, investment and competitiveness. She gained her BS.C. in Chemistry from King Faisal University in Dammam followed by Ph.D. in the field of Bio-organic Chemistry from Bristol University in the UK. She was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship to continue her research Post-doctorate in the field of Molecular Biology and Genetics from Harvard University in the USA; in addition to the scholarships from the King Faisal Foundation and Harvard University to continue her Genetics research.
Dr. Al-Mutairi then moved to Chicago to work for PerkinElmer Life Sciences as a genetics researcher for 3 years. She then moved back to Saudi Arabia where she held several leadership positions including the Chief Operating Officer of the Medial Services Organization, and the Manager of Integration Project of the Joint Venture between Saudi Aramco Healthcare Services and Johns Hopkins Medical Services.

Currently, Dr. Al-Mutairi is the advisor of the Minister of Commerce and Investment, and the head of National Competitiveness Center. She is also coordinating the strategic partnerships between the Ministry and the World Bank.
