Juan Carlos Hallak is an associate professor in the Department of Economics. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, a PhD in Economics from Harvard University and a member of the Conicet Researcher’s Career. He is also associate editor of the Journal of Development Economics, faculty research fellow of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), faculty associate of the International Policy Center of the University of Michigan and a member of the International Growth Center. Before joining San Andrés, he was assistant professor at the University of Michigan. His areas of interest are international trade and economic development.
