Nathalie Cely

Nathalie Cely graduated from the Catholic University of Guayaquil in 1990 with a major in Economics. During her college years, she was awarded important prizes, such as “Philanthropic”, in 1985, 1986 and 1987 and the “Faculty of Economics” Prize in 1987. Nathalie Cely was then accepted into Harvard University and assisted to the “John F. Kennedy School of Government” to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Later on, she won the “Edward Mason Award for academic contributions to the community” in 2001.

Her solid professional and academic experience led her from 2002 to the present day to be president of the E.dĂșcate Foundation and Stratega BDS. E.dĂșcate Foundation works to improve the quality of education by measuring and personalizing learning with the use of information and communication technology.

She possesses over 20 years of work experience in Latin America and Ecuador in matters related to economic structural transformation, export diversification, investment attraction and competitiveness.

Nathalie Cely was Ambassador of Ecuador to the United States. She has worked in public service positions such as the Coordinating Minister of Production and Competitiveness as well as the Coordinating Minister of Social Development. Cely is also an advisor to the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils.
